Marine Corps
The Marine Corps Retired Activities Office, Retirement and Separations Branch, Manpower Personnel Management Division, Manpower and Reserve Affairs, assists retired Marines and their dependents, as well as surviving beneficiaries, with a broad array of services and support. Amongst other things, we manage the Survivor Benefit Plan (SBP), assist retirees and dependents with ID Card (DEERS) matters, publish the Semper Fidelis Newsletter, administer the SecNav Retiree Council, and publish the Retirement Guide.

The Minnesota Board on Aging is the gateway to services for seniors and their families. MBA listens to senior concerns, researches for solutions, and proposes policy to address senior needs. In addition, MBA administer funds from the Older Americans Act that provide a spectrum of services to seniors, including Senior LinkAge Line™, Insurance Counseling and more.

Minnesotahelp.info has listings of 30,000 health and human services resources in Minnesota and is the state's most comprehensive online human services database. It also includes information about veterans services. The site includes services from government, for-profit and not for profit entities. The mission of the site is to ensure accurate and timely delivery of the most up-to-date information about resource to anyone who is doing a search for help whether consumer or professional. A secondary mission is to ensure that consumers can get access to private and public pay services so that they can make informed decision about their best options and direct their own lives.
Minnesota Veterans Homes
There are five MN Veterans Homes located around the state: Fergus Falls, Hastings, Luverne, Minneapolis and Silver Bay. The criteria to be admitted to one of the facilities is:
- Honorably Discharged Veterans
- 181 Consecutive Days on Active Duty
- Minnesota Resident (or had service credited to Minnesota)
- Spouses of eligible Veterans over 55 years of age and Minnesota residents
- Must have demonstrated medical need
Navy
The Retired Activities Branch at Navy Personnel Command (NPC) is to keep the retired community apprised of their benefits and provide customer services to our retirees and their families. The staff at Retired Activities Branch is dedicated to supporting more than 440,000 Navy retirees and more than 60,000 widows worldwide. The Branch assists all Navy Retirees by manning a toll-free phone line from 0800 - 1600 (Central Time) on Monday through Friday and by responding to inquiries received through the mail, NPC bulletin board.
Navy Mutual Aid Association
The basic purpose of the Association is to aid its members and their dependents or beneficiaries, by providing with certainty and promptness a substantial sum for their relief through the medium of insurance plans at as near the actual net cost as possible. And also, to assist in securing for the dependents or beneficiaries without charge the federal benefits to which they may be legally entitled. Once composed only of Navy and Marine Corps officers, the Association now serves all uniformed personnel of the Navy, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration and U.S. Public Health Service including all enlisted and officer grades, regular, reserve, and retired.
Retired Military Almanac
Published, not only for the already retired members, but for all military personnel considering retirement. This revised 256 page edition contains information on benefits, entitlements, privileges and restrictions, as well as detailed coverage of retired pay, Concurrent Receipt military health care, TRICARE, VA and Social Security, SBP, legislation, installation listings and many other subjects of interest to retirees. Also included is important information regarding Federal and State taxes. The Retired Military Almanac is published in February each year.
Soldier Support Foundation
Soldier Support Foundation is a non-profit designed to meet the many needs of returning servicemen and women and their families. The veterans on our Board of Directors served in the Marines, National Guard, and Army reserve, and we work with all veterans and families to ease in the transition back to civilian life.
TRICARE for Life
TFL is available to all TRICARE and Medicare dual-eligible Uniformed Services beneficiaries, regardless of age, including retired members of the National Guard and Reserve who are in receipt of retired pay, family members, widows/widowers and certain former spouses. Dependent parents and parents-in-law are not eligible for TFL.
TRICARE Retiree Dental Program (TRDP)
The TRDP offers comprehensive, cost-effective dental coverage for uniformed services retirees and their eligible family members.
