Flag Cases
The Minnesota Veterans Home in Hastings, MN has a woodshop. The Veterans Woodshop provides a therapeutic working environment that allows our veterans to learn and/or excel in the woodworking trade. The Veterans Woodshop produces high quality and individually handcrafted flag and memorabilia cases, plaques, signs, picture frames and many other specialty items. Many of these products are shipped all over the United States and Canada.
Your support, inquiries and purchases from the Veterans Woodshop enables the program to continue and most importantly, improves the quality of life for the Veterans we serve.
Governor's Council on Faith and Community Service Initiatives
Faith and community organizations provide important, unique and valuable services to thousands of Minnesotans in ways that government simply cannot replicate. The many organizations and volunteers who make a difference in the lives of others each and every day are applauded for making Minnesota nation-leading in volunteerism, philanthropy, and faith and community based services. It is the mission of the Special Advisor and the Governor's Council on Faith and Community Service Initiatives to support the efforts of faith and community based organizations by increasing access to existing funding resources, reducing barriers to the delivery of services, eliminating duplication of effort, streamlining the process of working with government and promoting best practices.

License Plates
The State of Minnesota offers many military and veteran license plates. Some are available for motorcycles. Proof of eligibility must be provided with the application form for military and veteran plates. The "Support Our Troops" plate is available to anyone.

Minnesota Veterans 4 Veterans (V4V) Trust Fund
A trust fund called "MN Veterans 4 Veterans Trust Fund" has been established. The goal of the trust fund is to help Minnesota Veterans integrate into society and lead healthier, independent lives by funding recreational, employment, health, education and social programs for veterans, their families and caregivers. Applications for grants are now being accepted.

Stars and Stripes
Stars and Stripes is a daily newspaper published for the U.S. military, DoD civilians, contractors, and their families. Unique among the many military publications, Stars and Stripes operates as a First Amendment newspaper, free of control and censorship. We have published continuously in Europe since 1942, where readers currently number around 80,000. We serve about 60,000 readers in the Pacific, where we have published a daily paper since 1945.

Veterans Alumni Association, was established in 1981 by a veteran, Mr. Tom Wagner. Its purpose is to help veterans in locating friends brought together while serving together in the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, or Coast Guard.
