There are two recommended contacts for further information on most veteran and family issues:
County Veteran Service Officer (CVSO)
Your local CVSO has more information and forms to apply for veteran benefits. They are also able to assist with some family issues. Some have transportation resources available to get veterans to medical appointment. View the list of CVSO listing below to find the one near you. More information about the MN CVSO program can be found on the Minnesota Association of County Veterans Service Officers website (www.mdva.state.mn.us/macvso/).

Veteran Service Organizations (VSO)
Not all, but some VSOs are chartered by the US Veterans Affairs (VA) to submit paperwork on behalf of the veteran. Many have programs and services beyond those offered by the VA to assist veterans and their families. Some VSOs are specialized to work with retirement, pensions and disabilities. Some have transportation resources available to get veterans to medical appointment. View our list of VSOs to find one near you or one that can assist with your questions.
